Poetry on the Picket line grew out of the solidarity work carried out by the poets involved with supporting PCS members in the National Gallery dispute. Committed to using the power of poetry to move people, they have always believed in putting their money where their mouths are and, with this in mind, they are holding their first fundraiser:

Sat Nov 18th, 7.00pm till 1.00am
The Betsey Trotwood, Clerkenwell.
Suggested Entry £5 but pay what you can.

They are proud to present a united front of poets who have supported or performed as a part of their squad:

The Picket line-up includes, Janine Booth, Tim Wells and Grim Chip, alongside Matt Abbott, Sophie Cameron (Red Raw) & Dan Cockrill (Bang Said The Gun), together with Proletarian Poetry’s very own Peter Raynard and others to be announced. Solidarity messages and poems from Billy Bragg, Phill Jupitus, Tim Turnbull and Joolz and many more will be read and raffled on the night which will be backed up by selected hits for the picket line building to a special Rocksteady set from DJ Tim Wells and ending victorious with live music from Maddy Carty.
