Following weeks of strike action, PCS will be hosting a solidarity fundraiser for 8 members of staff, mainly black, disabled trade unionists, who were sacked by email by the EQUALITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION!!!
These workers were sacked despite jobs being available. This act is ideological and we must do all we can to support these workers.
You can play your part – raise money in your branch for the strikers, get your dancing shoes on and come to our London solidarity fundraiser. Bring trade union banners and flags.
Guest speakers: Finola Kelly, PCS EHRC sacked striker, Mark Serwotka, PCS General Secretary.
Bands confirmed: The Rioters, Joli Blon, more poetry, lives bands and other acts to follow.We will be holding a prize draw raffle and all monies goes to the EHRC Strike fund. Tickets £5 unwaged/£7 waged/£10 solidarity price.
