Poeting at Girls On Key, Newcastle, NSW

Janine is one of two featured poets at this event for female poets.
Girls on Key is pleased to announce we are partnering with Bank Corner performance space from August to re-launch our monthly Newcastle chapter reading. This event will be held on the last Sunday of every month. Enjoy poetry in the lovely courtyard with delicious food and the best coffee in Newcastle.
The other featured poet is Lake Macquarie writer and editor Magdalena Ball.
A monthly poetry reading, featuring women and gender diverse poets. All genders welcome in the audience and on the open section.
Includes an open mic poetry section (5 minutes). Limited spaces available, so get there early to secure your spot.
Doors open 4pm, event starts 4.30pm
$10 or $8 concession (cash or card) – door sales only.
Includes a charity book raffle raising money for Friends of Writing Through Fences a Castlemaine based group working with refugee and asylum seeker artists and writers. Bring gold coins!
The cafe has an awesome range of food and beverages available to purchase.
