Poeting for Lewes Foodbanks

Saturday 26 sees the latest in a series of all-day, three-supermarket Lewes Food Banks collections. This time, the theme is ‘the people’s harvest vs food poverty’.
Between 6 and 7pm, Janine will be poeting along with other local poets in support of the collection at Waitrose. There will also be collections at Lewes Aldi and Tesco.
Through the day our team will provide shoppers with a shopping list of the goods the Food banks most need. Our request to shoppers is to add just one additional purchase from our list to their shop and donate to the stall we’ll have outside the stores.
The food we collect will be distributed to the three Lewes Food banks: Fitzjohns, Landport and Malling
