A word from the organisers of Run Your Tongue
We are back for another edition of Run Your Tongue – the spoken word open mic night where everyone is welcome and anything goes.
Join us for a weird and wonderful evening of words at the amazing WATSON’S COCKTAIL BAR (AKA The Vegan Bar) in Leicester.
If you would like to perform on the open mic, please email [email protected] beforehand (poets, singers and storytellers are all welcome – in fact, as long as it involves words, you are welcome to open mic!)
This is a hybrid event, meaning some slots are available for online performances anywhere in the world! Also, feel free to log in and watch!
Run Your Tongue feature poet: Ellie Spirrett
Ellie is a spoken word performer and poet originally from Leeds. She is a current member of the Roundhouse poetry collective and was the 2023 Some-Antics slam champion. Ellie writes about friendship, love, illness and ableism, and the loneliness epidemic.
