To the tune of ‘Once In Royal David’s City’, written in 2012:
Once in Rupert Murdoch’s empire
Lived his sidekick Rebekah Brooks
Rose to power through gutter reporting
Hacking phones and bribing crooks
David Cameron was her chum
Jeremy Hunt was under her thumb
She fell down to earth with a big bump,
When people found out what she did
But the landing was considerably softened
By eleven million quid
She was mean, but not poor and lowly
Unemployed but still blessed and holy
And the courts at last shall try her
Twelve good people and a toff
And her very expensive lawyers
Will ensure she gets just a ticking off
There’s one law for the common millions
Another for the media villains
