It ends at the white cliffs of Dover
So food banks will thrive
And security dive
As they cancel your life lived in clover
“Austerity’s finished” has finished
Its shelf-life the shortest and thinnest
It’s back to the axe
To the cuts and the hacks
With our hope for the future diminished
